What is your worth

Image
Michael Jordan was born in 1963, in the slums of Brooklyn, New York.   He had four siblings and his father's earnings were not sufficient to provide for the whole family. He grew up in a poor neighbourhood. Exposed to mindless violence and heavy discrimination in the slums, he saw for himself only a hopeless future. His father saw in Michael, a lost soul and decided to do something. He gave Michael, who was 13 years old, a piece of used clothing and asked: "What do you think the value of this outfit would be?" Jordan replied,"Maybe one dollar." His father asked, "Can you sell it for two dollars? If you can sell it, it would mean that you are a big help to your family."

Fearless Heart- FAITH

Image
Destined for exploit, bound tight on both feet Am I alone in this dark pit? Yes, I have the golden pen but too shaken to write my name amidst the great. I am afraid, oh I am so afraid Its chilly hand clutches me to –night Can I really step out in faith into the unknown where He beckons? Or would I start the downward journey into the deep blue sea like Peter, the rock? How my heart beats so fast... Who will fight this terror for my sake? How would I climb these broken stairways? Who will hold my hand in this storm? He did! Like a burning fire, He loosed my chains Placed me on His wings and soared to where knowledge is free with my head held high. The joy of His light and warmth ignited my inside with greatness Now, I am Exploit personified 'cos I am truly unrestrained I am destined to dominate and that I must do. The everlasting Lion roared on my behalf! Source: Impact CYF Picture: Google

Giving Forgiveness

Image
Who do you need to forgive? I don’t mean just saying, “I’m over it.” I mean real forgiveness. Who changes your heart for the worse when you think of or have to deal with them? Who are you fighting inwardly? At one time or another, we’ll all have to deal with someone who we wish would become invisible to us, or at the very least become someone we could like, love, or trust once again. Maybe you’re dealing with that right now. Maybe you’ve been wronged, misunderstood, or violated. Maybe the other person thinks they are the innocent party. The freedom we so want from hard or hurtful relationships can only be found one way: through forgiveness. Yet, the seemingly simple act of forgiving can be so hard! Sometimes we don’t feel the other person is worthy of our forgiveness. Sometimes we don’t think they’re really sorry.

1. God’s like a coke, He is the real thing, like Lipovitan, He gets you going, like Metrobank, when you are with Him you are in good hands, and Dunkin Donut, sounds good and loves you even better. 2. I cried because I don’t have a shoe until I saw a man without a feet. Sometimes, we’re just too blind to appreciate the things which surround us. 3. When life seems so tough, go on. When things go wrong, move on. Bear in mind that God gives you strength to persevere, not to surrender. Take care! 4. Wake up! Exercise your faith. Do sit-up with prayer. Do push-up to release stress. Go! Jog to the Lord and send the good news! Good morning! 5. Don’t think too much of the problems in life, they are just test papers given by God to see how much we are learning in His subject called “Life”. If you think you failed, don’t worry because He is always ready to give remedial classes. So, review through prayers and have the perfect score of “Happiness”.
