Highlights of the Book Review!

Image
Hey Everyone, I just want to give us a peak at what happened during the Book Review because I cant write it all. The truth is that I could not comprehend it. Starting with the opening prayers to the 1st take(reading) we started feeling the presence of the Spirit of God, He explained the reading to our hearts, the lightening, spotlight, background music and subsequent pauses added to the ambiance and mood of the event Trust me, as at the time the drama and Exquisite expression came up,I had goose  pimples all over. The actors even testified that their act wasnt planned but turned out far better as if someone was leading them. No doubt, It was the Person of the Holy Spirit.

First Thing in the Morning

Image
‘Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will.’ Isaiah 50:4 Here’s a wonderful promise from God’s Word: ‘The … LORD has given me his words of wisdom … that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will. The … LORD has spoken to me, and I … listened. I have not rebelled or turned away’ (vv. 4-5 NLT).  Isaiah said God woke him up every morning and told him what he was supposed to do that day, and what he was to say to others! This wasn’t a ‘one of a kind’ occurrence: it happened ‘morning by morning’.  Can you imagine how differently your day would go if you took the time to hear from God before you got out of bed? Notice the word ‘understanding’.

God Is!

‘He waters the mountains from his upper chambers; the earth is satisfied.’ Psalm 104:13 Have you ever wondered why nowhere else in the universe do we find water in any abundance, except here on earth?  To date, all our telescopes and space travellers confirm that. Water, the amazing solvent, dissolves almost everything upon this earth except those things that are life-sustaining.  This amazing liquid we take for granted exists as ice, breaks up rocks, and produces soil. As snow, it stores up water in the valleys. As rain, it waters and cleanses the earth. As vapour, it provides moisture for much of the arable land on earth. It exists as cloud cover in just the right amount. If it had clouds like Venus, the earth couldn’t support life.

Your 5 star Meal!

Image
A hungry gentleman walked into a hotel restuarnt to eat. After flipping through the menu, he ordered his meal . After about 20 minutes another group of gentlemen walked in and orderd food. To his dismay, the first gentleman saw them get served first. He watched as they began to eat and laugh heartily. He even overheard one of them brag about how he knew everyone at the hotel and how things move fast for him there. He felt he was being mocked . He contemplated leaving, but he had waithed so long. Unable to take it anymore, he called the waiter and spoke harshly to him.

Tip of the Iceberg 1- Bear Good Fruits

Image
Mark 11: 14 " Let no man eat fruit from you ever again" This verse got me thinking, with Jesus Christ busy schedule, he still paid attention to a common fig tree beside the road. The bible said " He went to see if perhaps he will find something on it"  He expected it to bear fruit even when it wasn't its season. He created it, he knows its capabilities. It opened my eyes to how importance  our bearing fruit(Good precisely) is to God. If a mere tree couldn’t escape his wrath in that regard, how about we humans that He created in His image. Think of it this way, God has deposited talents in each one of us to be used for his glory- our ultimate goal on earth.  But we sure have different things tugging at our cloth for our attention every second.

Do you think God really needs you?

I recently came across a youtube clip of Angels caught on tape singing. At first, I doubted it but later a voice asked me "Are you saying that God's angel cannot sing melodiously?" Your guess is as good as I am, I quickly apologised.  Centuries ago, King David acknowledged that truth when he wrote" Praise him All His Angels, Praise Him All His Heavenly Host" Psalm 148:2. If God created man with the ability to sing and praise him, how about his Serving angels who the Bible records are constantly singing before HisThrone . The truth then dawned on me Our ability to sing PRAISES to the Most High is an unmerited favour  not our right . With or without us, Yahweh the Almighty Will still be forever praised.
