---THE LADY I ONCE LOVED--- I saw her in the streets Messed up, torn in bits. She smelled like piss Like a cat stuck in shitty pit Everyone passed by But none stopped by . . She was ruined all through Her life was headed for the rocks I couldn’t turn a blind eye So I picked her up Took her home Had her cleaned her up And gave her some clothes . . When we come to Christ, we are no more living a life of our own, It's Christ living in us. We receive the Holy spirit when we accept Jesus as our Lord and saviour. God has called us to growth, it's in growth that we access the fullness of God. (Eph 4 vs 11-15) (Col 2 vs 6-7) (1 Peter 2 vs 2) The more we grow, the more responsible we are and the more productive we become. The writer of Hebrew was sad and disappointed with the lack of growth in the Hebrew church (Hebrew 5:11-14). The fact is that salvation is is not enough, It's just the beginning of pursuit for a deep relationship with God. A Fellowship of Love Activities! ,activities!! activities!!! Martha had just finished singing with the choir. She had earlier  prayed with the Prayer group. Then, she is to have an Exco meeting and also go on an outreach with the Evangelical group. Martha has to afterwards pen down a write up on "Acceptable Stewardship". She still has to help share fliers later.  This morning,  she had only enough time to say a hurried prayer and  now, Wole asked; "Sister Martha, can you help me  decorate the Church?" Of course one would expect this response "Am I a machine that you'll just be pressing  to work!work!!work!!!" and this was exactly what Martha meant to say. But instead she said, "Oh! Grrrrhhhh! The sound of alarms waking up millions of people around the world. It’s morning, life’s on. Shoes and clothes on, bags and tools hung on shoulders, the race has begun. There is a daily human need that everyone wants to meet. The most basic of these according to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Human Needs are:  food, water, shelter, clothing etc.  These physical needs usually drive most of our daily pursuit but hidden behind them are the things we all are truly seeking.   Things such as: love, friendship, security, comfort, satisfaction and acceptance. In the absence of these we tend to become depressed, lonely and anxious.
