Highlights of '16 Business and Fashion Expo

 
       

So guys, this year's Biz Expo & Fashion Show took place on the 21st of August at  The Havens Event Center, Oba Akinjobi Street, GRA, Ikeja. Lagos, Nigeria. Being the brainchild of the Cathedral Youth Fellowship it served as a platform for young & upcoming entrepreneurs to showcase, build & sustain their businesses. To  serve you all the gist, I have to categorize them into:


 Hall 

The blast of the music hit my ear from the entrance giving it a festive feel. The chilly but cozy atmosphere, Chandelier lights all gave it that spectacular scenery. The beauty, color, and aesthetics of the hall, the beautifully decorated booths were explicitly glamorous. It was Business combined with Fun. Who says they can’t be combined?Let’s talk about the ambience, background noise. You will hear gentle beckoning of customers by vendors and sales reps, the soft laughter, chats, explanations, and a dose of excitement made the event lively and interesting.
I got the opportunity to visit some booths and I must confess, I ended up spending above my budget.. The products were needful and at reduced prizes.

 The turnout and sales?
It wasn’t as planned but considering the present Economic situation in Nigeria, it was a huge success.

 MC’S
 I can’t talk about of the duo without smiling. They did an impeccable job at the event. We saw them visiting vendor’s booths and advertising their products on one-on-one bases. Mr. Steve and Mr.  Joshua Ben Shalom’s wit added color to the event. Customers were in the loop to purchase their choice items. This sure boosted the sales especially with the presence of a Mobile ATM made available by Union Bank.

 Fashion Show & Raffle Draw
This was the highlight of the event for me. Having an opportunity to get a backstage glance at the models, their Psychic, outfit, make up et al and the breathtaking act they put on the runway held everybody spell bound. Intermittently, participants whose number were called, smiled home with gifts items. It was fun witnessing how everybody was guarding their raffle tickets and religiously glancing at it when numbers were being called. Including me…lol
The programme came to an end at about 4.30 with a heartfelt gratitude to God for a successful programme and to the church for the opportunity to showcase our business products and services.

Come 2017, you definitely wouldn’t want to miss this!
