Gift called Life

Queen Elizabeth said on her death bed, I will give my entire kingdom for just one more day. The same privilege some people are recently rejecting because of life Challenges. With a heart clouded with depression, most feel unwanted, sad, perpetually, unhappy, cheated, defeated, hopeless and some even call themselves a mistake and failure. To them, it is better to end it all- The new Nigerian Trend.

Let me quickly take your mind back to your biological history. For one single Egg to be Fertilized and produce a Zygote, 4 million Sperm have to engage in a fierce and bloody fight because it is only one out of the 4 million sperm that will break 2 barriers surrounding the ovum and reach the plasma membrane of the egg,then it will set a reaction spreading across the egg membrane to prevent other sperm from breaking through. The trophy of that victory/ fertilized the egg was a  ZYGOTE which grew to be you.

I do not see this particular sperm that fertilized you as  a weakling, dejected and defeated sperm. We are talking about the defeat of 4 million strong and powerful opponents here ,so why the sudden change in mindset?

Do you think the God who made you a champion even before you were born, suddenly decided to strip you of that Glory or He out rightly forgot about you and lost interest?

You don’t understand that your acceptance of defeat or even contemplating defeat is calling your Almighty Father a Liar. Did I hear you say, God forbid? Ok let me break it down for you.

He has said that He will provide all your needs according to His riches in Glory. 2. He will not leave or forsake you. 3. If He can take care of birds of the air and lilies in the field that will live and die tomorrow, what about you who He created by His Image and called His own and countless others I cannot mention here?   Yet, you doubt Him and seek to embrace Satan gift of Hell- Suicide.  

See, don’t think the thought never crossed my mind at a time or that I have not had my share of hard times, but trust me Suicide is for Cowards. Sorry I have to be that blunt. That sperm that won 4 million counterparts years ago to me is a warrior, a Go getter and high flying achiever. I challenge you to awaken that sleeping giant and face it a day at a time. Don’t ever worry about tomorrow; Your God has got it.  

Every day we all have a gift of 86,400 seconds to spend as we like. Imagine that it is 86,400 dollars that is deposited into your account daily to use as you like. Just that at the end of the day, the remaining will be taken back. Trust me, you will spend it wisely. 

I know you wish it is physical cash but trust me Bro, Time is more precious than money. It actually begat money. You can gain back lost money but you can’t gain back lost time and  we will all go in for Audit after everything to give account of how we spent this free gift. Our sheet just has to be balanced by Gods Grace.

So finally, I employ us to spend our days hopeful, happy and contented believing that He who promised is faithful. Let’s not give in to bitterness, anger or  hidden pain. Drop them at the feet of Jesus Christ today and live A Day at a Time from now.

 It is equally important to learn to share your problems with people. Stop carrying that burden that weighs more than mountain Kilimanjaro on your poor shoulders, bro share it with somebody and you will fill lighter. The Holy Spirit will tell you who to share with; we have counselors in Church too.

Remember, you still have that one more day the Queen of England pleaded for on her sick bed, Please make the best of it and may God bless your heart.
