Unique Love
I had just typed the word Love on my music player and was listening to the search results and that was how I stumbled on this song. I had been listening to it passively till I heard the words “Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss”.
On hearing this I said to myself [please note that I’m absolutely not a racist, I was just amusing myself], anyways, I said to myself: “O gosh, these white people, talking about sloppy wet kisses in a Christian song?”. Well, for the wrong reasons the song caught my attention and I listened to it more raptly. Then the lady singing, Kim Walker-Smith, in sheer inspiration and joyful surrender to the precious Spirit of God, stopped singing and started to speak to the crowd.
Her words resonated in this recording so much that it absolutely shook my spirit, and still does at every listen.
What moves me most about her 1-minute 20-second exhortation is the deep passion and conviction with which she spoke. You have to listen to it. It’s such a beautiful thing to see people un bashfully surrender themselves to the Spirit and speak directly from His heart.
One person, I made watch the video said the lady seemed to be singing for herself and not for the crowd. She practically closed her eyes throughout the performance and was lost in the love of God. And how sweet, the song itself is about how much Jesus loves us.
Reminds me of John 11:36 when Jesus wept passionately for Lazarus causing the Jews to declare: “See how He loved him”. What a joy to know that Jesus loves us, oh how He loves us!

I took some time to transcribe her short exhortation below. Here’s the YouTube link to the song also. Enjoy…
His presence, His love, is so thick and tangible in this room tonight
And there are some of you here that have not encountered the love of God
And tonight God wants to encounter you
And wants you to feel His love, His amazing love
Without it these are just songs
These are just words
These are just instruments
Without the love of God it’s just like we’re just up here just making noise
But the love of God changes us and we’re never the same
We’re never the same after we encounter the love of God!
We’re never the same after we encounter the love of God!
And right now, if you haven’t encountered the love of God…
And you would know, because you wouldn’t be the same
You would never be the same again
And if you want to encounter the love of God right now
You better just brace yourself
Because He’s about to just blow in this place
And we’re going to encounter the love of God, right now
So God, I speak to all the hearts
And I ask God that every heart be opened right now
Every heart be opened, every spirit be opened up
To You God, to You
And a love encounter, a love encounter from You tonight
A love encounter from You tonight Father
I hope you like the song as much as I do. But please desist from downloading this song-or any song for that matter- illegally. It’s not right. And even though we have convinced ourselves that it’s okay, it really is not. Let God talk to you about this. May Jesus grant us more grace so we may be totally blameless in His sight.
