Opposition to servitude - Short Story
Scenario 1

And finally Becky the evangelism team head had called her and told her due to her show of interest she had added her name to this weeks' list of evangelists though she was not a member yet.
She couldn't contain her excitement. She was helping her mum get the casserole out of the oven during dinner when the thoughts came "There's no way... don't you remember you did this....you're that...and you always...what if they laugh at you...what could you possibly say to help them"
She tried to ignore the thoughts but they just won't budge. The waje who came back to the dining room was not the excited Waje who left. She went to bed glum, sad and doubting herself in a million and one ways.
The next morning she called Becky to scrap her name off list she wouldn't be able to make it for evangelism.
Scenario 2.
Elias was according to the standards "The perfect man for the job ".He had just been selected to preach at the weekly fellowship at his workplace and He couldn't have felt more accomplished and humbled at that point in time.
That night he happily sat at his study table in his room to prepare his sermon.
He was just about to begin when the thoughts came, "who told you they're going to listen... you're just an hypocrite going there to dictate to them when you can't even do half of what you're going to say...are you even sure you're born again...God can't use you... wherein the bible or in your church did God use someone like you?".He tried to argue it out but it was no use.
Elias went to bed doubting himself and everything else. He did eventually go for the service and preached and the different pats on his back from co-workers told him he did well, the various comments from them told him, he did well. But he couldn't help thinking that God could have used him for much more he left work feeling unfulfilled.

In the two scenarios, we see people who let condemning thoughts to cheat them out of being used maximally by God.
They spent more time listening and arguing with condemnation and fear rather than studying The Word, praying and letting the Holy Spirit teach them and use them.
In the 2nd scenario, this caused His message to not impact lives as much as it should have. God couldn't possibly make a mistake so He chose them purposely to serve at that particular place and time for a reason 2Timothy:20-21, says "But in a great house are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and of earth and some to honour and some to dishonour. If a man, therefore, purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour sanctified and meet for the masters' use and prepared unto every good work".
It's no use being a hypocrite purge yourself of those things that do not give glory to God and that let the hand of condemnation strike you. Run to Jesus to purge yourself of those habits and sins let Him make you a vessel fit for the masters' use.
And when the devil brings his baseless argument (having no root in The Word)counter it out loud with The Word of God like in Elias case above when the devil asked him "are you sure you're born again?".
He shouldn't run or argue, he should simply confess The Word of God which is a fact (Elias having fulfilled it) Rom10:9 which says "That if thou shalt confess with thou mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved" and say I am born again!
Therefore reply the devil with The Word when he brings his thoughts of condemnation.
Remember to be free from condemnation and fear to serve, purge yourself and confess the Word of God.
