Dangers of Leadership

Over the years, I’ve heard preachers mention that if care is not taken most church leaders, great men and women of God might not be seen at the Lambs Marriage Super.  Meaning technically, that they will end up in hell. Leaders of great repute who mankind have christened “Holy”. Why? Is that even possible? They dine and wine with the Lord. Always speaking Gods' mind and winning souls into the kingdom of God. How then will they be cast out? Don't be angry, I have been asking lots of questions lately and this is what the Spirit of God told me.

Asides these reasons which were stated in leadershipfreak.blog namely: Inability to draw the line between confidence and humility( feeling superior over your followers), mismanaging emotion, neglecting physical health and spiritual well-being, Extending revenge rather than forgiveness, personalizing success or failure, easing up and letting down, pushing through when it’s time to adapt, showing favoritism to friends, supporters, or people you like, advantaging yourself while disadvantaging others and so on. 

The other major danger is exempting or disconnecting oneself from the tasks/ instructions given by the Holy Spirit through them.

There is no greater snare than neglecting what you preach. When you leave outside what you preach, teachings, you are simply toying with your salvation. Your knowledge of the word of God is not a license to heaven but acting on it. 

The Bible said that on that day "Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 3Then I will tell them plainly,‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness" Matthew 7 v22-23

 Why? They became so comfortable and forget that the race placed before them. For the fact that they prophesy, speak in tongues, I see visions heal etc, to them it is a sign of righteousness. But No, It is but a Gift from God for the edification of the body of Christ. It is not a licence to eternal Life. A godly life is. If you do not bear the fruit of righteousness, how then will you say you are the Lords'. 

Please, don’t fool yourself. Constantly strive to attain that height, don’t ever relax because you have been placed in an elevated position. That position, in fact, calls for greater work and lounging. Don't think you know all about God now because HE chooses TO USE YOU. The danger of taking Him for granted is truly enormous.   Strive not to be reduced to a  mere orator, artist, a writer, actress who knows how to mange the stage instead of being a minister of the gospel of Christ. 

Allow the Spirit of God to lead you at all times. When you encourage members to read their Bible, have a closer work with God, come for church programmes, pray always, please lead the group. Lead by example or else you will simply become a signpost which points people to Christ but remains outside the gate. That will not be our portion in Jesus name, Amen. 

This is a wakeup call for us all because we are all leaders in different areas of life, at home, work, school you name it. We are called to lead by example and be true followers of Christ our shepherd. Don’t be a hypocrite.  Where you find it difficult, Ask the Holy Spirit, He is ever ready to help and teach. "With fervent prayer and Studying of the word, we are  to shew ourselves approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed , rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15.

Please, don’t miss the marriage Super of the Lamb because of ITK “I too Know”. Don’t only edidfy  the church  with your God given talent and forget you are part of the body of Christ. Serve with a humility and a heart of  obedience.

I  pray that God will grant us the grace to serve in all meekness, practicing Gods words spoken through us so we will not be left behind in Jesus name, Amen
