Kaleidoscope Resolve... A New Year Classic!
We are grateful to God for keeping all promises His to us as a church in the last year. 2018 is finally here with Loads of blessing. The beginning of every year happens to be a time when most of us draw out NEW resolutions forgetting that we lost sight of our last resolve mid-way into the year.
No, I don’t think so.
It is just that we always try to carry out the Job description of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who to reshapes, transforms and chisels out bad excesses from us. He knows you and understands how you can achieve all you’ve set out without stress.
The sad thing is that most do not even still know Him. How can you then achieve your goal for 2018 without Him, when the Bible spelt it out “that without Him, you can do nothing”. It’s not about coming to church or being a worker, it’s about coming to the Light (Jesus Christ- John 1vs 1-5).
You have to first come into the light and embrace the gift of Salvation Christ Jesus bought with His Precious blood before you can make sense of it all this year. We are all broken and a work beautifully in process, but in our brokenness, God is calling us so He can transform our broken pieces into a beautiful kaleidoscope (an optical instrument filled with random pieces of broken glass which when raised up to a source of light suddenly resolves into symmetrical patterns of colour and beauty that takes one's breath away).
Do you know why? He (God) does not despise the brokenhearted -Psalm 51.
According to Renee James, “Kaleidoscope living is simply seeing God in every pattern of our lives and it can only happen when we choose to bring the entirety of our (imperfect) lives into the light”.
King David understood this and wrote, “Unto You O Lord, Do I bring my Life”. He understood that life can only have that clarity of purpose and calling when it is handed over to the one who formed us from dust. “For we are Gods' masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” Ephesians 2:10.
So, that resolve has been in God’s plan for a long time, but you have to come to him to get the architectural design of how it will work out. This is where grace comes in. You simply cannot achieve your set goals this year unless we hand them over to the Him who guides, loves, saves, teaches and shows abundant mercy (Jesus Christ). Come into the Light (For Christ is the Light of the World and anyone who walks with Him can never work in darkness). This might be the only way to get true clarity. If you try it without Him, you will certainly burn out.
I employ you to choose to embrace this Kaleidoscope living as we enter the New Year. God will certainly make something extremely beautiful out of your ashes and brokenness.
May God keep us until eternity…. Happy New Year in Advance!
