You might suppose that a dirty, poor, abandoned child growing up in a dusty field would have little to hold on to. But to me, those endless, sun-baked field and a promise of sore backs, bleeding fingers, and blistered hands. In those fields grew my dreams. Down there in those fields, all the passion and desire to be different, to do better, was born inside me. It came from walking in those fields alone. Dreaming, hoping and planning for the better with nobody to encourage or enlighten me. Much later, I discovered that God had been with me all these while and I realized that those dreams had not come from within me but from the Most Holy and Most High God. God indeed had a plan for my life.

If your eyes can be opened, That you see the turbulence in the cardiac chambers and how the heart handles the change, creating a balance. If your eyes can be opened, That you see the twisting of the red blood cells, The breakdown of white blood cells The groaning of the heart as it makes sounds, (S1, S2, S3) Perhaps you'd know that you're not suffering alone, The visceral is not having it easy too.   

 Scenario 1 Waje had been praying for so long to join the evangelism team for their once in a week evangelism, but she was a junior and still had to wait a few years to move to senior school and join the team. Going down memory lane, I see myself in my 1st year again, battling with financial problems and frustrating roommates. A lot happened and more could have happened but God came to my rescue. All it took was prayer and fasting… Our world is one that’s rapidly changing and thus, demands further positive changes from us which is called adjustments. This sometimes is the problem. However, when made, it either alleviates or aggravates the issue at hand.              There’s a lot happening around Christian students everywhere, from financial issues to pressures (sexual, cultism, etc),  time management, balancing family affairs etc. The list is endless, but the truth is, all of these have come to either make us or mar us, to break us or brace us, none of which can happen without our permission.

"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh". – Galatians 5:16 If there are any 2 major struggles Christians of our time face, they are sexual lust and drug/alcohol misuse.  These sins have so pervaded the church that many have concluded that they cannot be jettisoned. Some have even gone the length of saying that these struggles are an inseparable part of the Christian journey. 

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. He who fears has not been made perfect in love. – 1 John 4:18 With the help of my Friend, the precious Holy Spirit, I have found the perfect antidote for fear, Love. Now let’s learn how to use love -according to scripture- to drive out fear! First of all, to defeat an enemy, we must know the very nature of that enemy. You see, Fear, our enemy here, is not just an emotion or an illusion, fear is a spirit. II Timothy 1:7 affirms: God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”  Okay so we know fear is a spirit, an evil one at that, but how do get rid of the retarded thing?

MESSAGE From experience, we know of a truth that God answers prayers. lt is also common knowledge among those who walk with God that on several occasions, despite consistent prayers, God may take His time before intervening in a given situation. In fact, in some cases, He may allow the situation to deteriorate to its extreme limits before He steps in. This was the experience of Mary and Martha, sisters to Lazarus (John 11:1-6). Why would God wait until you are completely helpless before He turns things around?
